Clinically superior BMD solutions for physicians

Use your existing CT scanner together with MindwaysCT QCT Pro™ to make highly sensitive trabecular bone measurements of BMD at the spine to enable early detection of bone density changes.

DXA-equivalent hip measurements

Produce DXA-equivalent hip T-scores with QCT Pro™, reducing investment in additional equipment for the clinical diagnosis of osteoporosis and for fracture risk assessment using FRAX.

Innovative clinical trials & research applications

Continuous innovation in Quantitative CT technologies allows MindwaysCT to offer a suite of applications that enable researchers to accurately measure tissue types, densities and compositions.

Routine BMD measurement

Screening patients for fracture risk by QCT has a unique advantage among bone densitometry technologies because of its measurement of trabecular bone BMD. Bone loss or gain is commonly 2–4 times more rapid in trabecular bone. Rapid change in trabecular bone coupled with the excellent precision of MindwaysCT QCT Pro™ means high sensitivity to early BMD changes. In addition, QCT Pro™ measurement of BMD at the hip is made in a way that produces T-Score equivalent to a DXA scan. These hip T-Scores are used in the international reference standard for the description of osteoporosis. Find out more

Advanced clinical uses

QCT Pro™ enables the earliest detection of bone loss and therapeutic response in oncology patients prone to rapid and significant bone loss as a result of hormone therapy or prolonged use of steroids. Because the images that QCT analysis requires are almost identical to an abdominal or pelvic CT exam, densitometry may be performed at the same time with no further CT dose and no moving over to a separate DXA unit. BMD measurement by QCT Pro™ may also be combined with CT Colonography screening and other regular CT examinations for the most efficient utilization of CT equipment. Find out more
